Democratic Town Chair Stephanie Sussman's 2022 Message

Hello Fellow Claverack Dems,

I hope you are all well and staying safe at home now that we are in the grip of truly winter weather. It is hard to believe that 2022 is already two months old.

Our Executive Committee took a much-deserved post-campaign rest during the month of December, but then we were back at work in January preparing for the year ahead. The 2022 Elections will be a very consequential year ahead for our state and our country.

In January, our Executive Committee took steps to expand our Communications Committee and formed a Voter Relations Committee that will outreach to our voters all year long. We’ve already started, having great phone conversations, listening to our voters’ ideas about our town.

While we still face the risks of COVID and can’t gather in person to share our usual sumptuous Sunday Potluck brunch buffets, we can still gather virtually and share food for thought. Please join us to kickoff 2022 at our first of the year virtual monthly brunch on Sunday, February 13 from 11:30-1 pm, to share your ideas about topics and speakers that you would like to hear at our brunches in the year ahead. RSVP at info@claverackdemocrats.org and If you can’t attend, please email your ideas to us at that same address. We will have a busy year ahead.

Right now I have 2 small asks –First, If you are not currently a subscriber to our newsletter please do so. It is the best way we have to communicate with Claverack Dems on a regular basis about what is happening in our community, meetings, candidate and campaign events, and our monthly brunches, where we discuss political, social, and civic activities.
