Ilze Earner: “The voters have spoken, and the result is not what we had hoped. I accept the outcome of this election with respect for the democratic process. Although I did not win this time, our work is not over. The challenges we identified are real and the values we championed remain important. I will continue to stand for them, to engage, to listen, and to act — because the issues that drew us together don’t vanish with the results of one race. I want to thank my supporters, voters, and volunteers. Your belief in our vision for the Town of Claverack has meant so much to me. I am deeply grateful to every person who knocked on doors, made calls, donated their time, or shared our message.”
Robert Honeywell: “I’m, of course, disappointed but I promise not to quit fighting for Claverack’s voters. I heard their concerns in months of knocking on their doors, especially on housing costs. I’ve always had a Plan B in case I lost: I will keep making noise, will keep holding the Town Board accountable, and will keep reminding them that they work for us, not the other way around. We are so thankful to have so many volunteers and supporters behind us. It was a huge team effort. See you at the next election.”
Peter Hoffman: “While I await the results, I pledge to carry on and implement my vision for more open dialogue between the town residents and the Board. Whether on the Board or from outside as a resident, I will stay focused on this goal and continue the work. Thank you so much to the volunteers and voters for supporting our slate of candidates.”
Amber D’Amato: “While the results are disappointing, I learned so much from running for office. I am grateful for the support I received from the voters and volunteers.”
