Three Democrats, Brian Herman, Micael Howard and Mark Portin are running for two Columbia County Court vacancies (CVs below). How will each candidates’ experiences, values and knowledge of the law shape their decisions on the bench? County Judges preside over both civil and criminal cases. Each candidate will make a brief presentation followed by an opportunity for Q&A from the committee members.
With 3 candidates vying for 2 seats, there will be a June Primary to determine the candidates on the Democratic line on the ballot in the November 2023 Election. More than ever, we are aware of the impact of the judiciary on our daily lives at all levels, whether they are at the local, state and national level. Join us to listen, learn and ask questions!
